Our Story
HEHEMETAL began as a Vietnamese rock music news platform in 2005. In 2019, we expanded into independent concert promotion and began organizing international heavy music shows alongside recurring events for local bands.
Our shows typically welcome around 150–300 people. While the underground scene operates on a smaller scale than mainstream concerts, the energy of the crowd and genuine connections between bands and fans make these events special.

From Vietnam to Wacken
In 2019, HEHEMETAL was selected as Vietnam’s sole representative for a German government international visitors programme celebrating 30 years of Wacken Open Air, alongside participants from 12 other countries.
The programme included visits to Berlin, Hamburg and Wacken, exchanges with music industry professionals, and behind-the-scenes access at Wacken Open Air. It was an important opportunity to learn more about international festival production and industry networks.

January 2026 — Year End Party
HEHEMETAL joined forces with two other promoters to bring hardcore and death metal together on one bill: Guilt Trip (UK), Body Rag (Malaysia), ElbowDrop (Vietnam) and Kinh (Vietnam). Local and expat audiences enthusiastically embraced all four bands.

Mixing metal, hardcore and metalcore has been part of our approach from the early days of live promotion. Our Slaughter to Prevail show in 2020 similarly featured a lineup spanning metal and hardcore.
